Founded in 2002, in Vilnius, Lithuania, AJ Chocolate House grew from a family dream to the chocolates every family wants to enjoy. As AJ Chocolate House shops expanded throughout Europe, our brand began to flourish into sought-after delicacies. You’ll find our chocolates in fine hotels and luxury cafes. Our chocolates are enjoyed as family and business gifts, and gifted as tokens of appreciation for diplomats, notable public figures, and artists.

The ambiance is very cozy and comfortable with an upscale feel, and it is beautifully decorated. This place feels like a great spot for a date night. I look forward to bringing my boyfriend the next time we are in town together!

From year round occasions to holiday gifting and events, we have the expertise and products to make it perfect. During the holidays, this counts as self-care. Served with an assortment of colorful fresh fruit, whipped cream and, of course, your choice of melted chocolate on the side, you can drizzle or dunk your way into dessert-for-breakfast oblivion. For me, it’s dark chocolate all the way, and whether you’re dunking the warm waffle, a delicate raspberry, or (come on, you know you’re going to try it) your spoon, the sweet, silky spackle is so, so satisfying.

We also can close to the public and provide a completely private venue for larger groups. And their other stores, 25 in all save this new Winter Park shop, are scattered across Europe, where the definition of this delight is a little different. This end of Park Avenue, across from Rollins College, has seen the recent arrival of several new restaurants. One example is Mares Peruvian Cuisine, which moved from its original location at Hunter’s Creek to a space a few doors down from AJ Chocolate House next to Burger-Fi.
The shop also sells ice cream, milkshakes, chocolate fondues, mousse, cheesecakes, coffees, wine, and more. Inside the 2,237-square-foot space, smooth jazz music fills the air along with the aroma of savory treats. While the eclectic menu options take center stage— the shop offers 150 varieties of Belgian chocolate, cakes, ice cream, coffee, wine, and more — the interior’s elegant dècor is also likely to catch the eye. Walls and ceilings, even in the restrooms, are adorned with artwork fit for a museum.

White Chocolate Rabbit
Scads of folks are in early on my second visit, many picking up pre-ordered cakes for holiday parties. Some sell out immediately this time of year, Jablonskas tells me. Here, the scene cuts to my first visit, wherein my companion — a white chocolate fan — notes a white option on the hot chocolate menu and feels his pupils dilate. It’s something neither of us had ever seen, so we ordered it. It showed up in the espresso cup with a tiny spoon.

The chocolate business has been in operation since 2002 when Edwin’s father, Algimantas “AJ” Jablonskas, opened the first store in Lithuania. While there are 25 locations across Europe, this is the first in the United States. Our Royal Truffles make a perfect corporate gift, house warming gift, birthday gift or holiday gift for chocolate lovers. The finest European chocolates handpicked to your preference.
The couple calls it fate that they were able to land in such a prime location at the corner of Park and Fairbanks Avenues. The building was most recently occupied by a coffee shop. The Luxury Collection offers the sweet touch of handmade fine chocolates encased in a rich yet elegant package.
The European AJ Chocolate House locations have been growing since the first opened in 2002. The whole project started in Edwin Jablonkas’ father’s basement when he was in his teens. This happens, pretty literally, as soon as you stick the spoon of chocolate in your face. Leather armchairs and plush velvet couches placed around tables invite guests to stay a while with friends, coworkers, or loved ones. A perfect setting for a casual night out or a romantic date. As we continue this wonderful journey of the past twenty years of bringing joy to people through chocolate, we are excited to bring our European legacy to the United States.
So, they went into the basement, failed miserably an uncountable number of times, and eventually, with help from professional chocolatiers, became chocolatiers themselves. AJ Chocolate House was founded in 2002, in Vilnius, Lithuania, over two decades ago. Our small manufacturing started in the basement of our family home and a few stores in the city. Yet, we knew that we wanted to bring the best luxury chocolates for all to enjoy. Therefore we chose to use the best quality chocolate there is – Belgian Couverture Chocolate. In addition to using the best quality Belgian chocolate, we never sacrificed the quality of all our ingredients and craftsmanship, continuing to create delicate chocolates, cakes, and desserts.
Everybody, from the manager to the waitstaff, was so kind, helpful, and welcoming.
“The other day, I came in to open, and there was a line waiting outside,” he marvels. “The Belgian Mousse Cake and Pistachio Cake sell out almost immediately when they come in. Customers can call in and reserve cakes if they like, which now through the end of the year are $69.95, which is $10 off the usual price. And all, he tells me, are either his or his father’s recipe except one, which is his grandmother’s. They ultimately decided on downtown Winter Park, which is lined with upscale boutiques and fine-dining restaurants. To them, this was the perfect fit for their high-end dessert concept.
It’s a gorgeous gift to bring to a New Year’s Eve or Day soiree. It’s a lovely bite as you walk on Park Avenue with your out-of-town guests or a decadent sit-down treat in the shop’s elegant cafe space. It’s also a nice place to escape from those guests if you need some space for a bit. Each piece goes for $2.50, the woman behind the counter tells me.
